Steve Donald

Steve retired as Executive Vice-President and Chief Risk Officer of CI Financial in 2019 after a 22 year career with CI. Prior to his appointment as Executive Vice-President of CI Financial, Steve was the President of CI’s wealth management division, Assante Wealth Management. Currently, Steve serves as a member of the Independent Review Committees of Scotiabank’s investment fund managers – 1832 Asset Management, MD Financial Management and Jarislowsky Fraser. In addition, he was past Chair of the Board of Directors of both the Investment Industry Association of Canada and the Mutual Fund Dealers Association. Steve is a Chartered Accountant (Fellow) and has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of British Columbia. Steve has a personal and passionate commitment to cancer care and research and has been a committed supporter of The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation and the Canadian Cancer Society.
