Maria Micsia

Maria Micsia has owned and operated Nouvelle Maria Spa and Salon for the past thirty years. She and the Spa have won numerous awards as one of Toronto’s best operated and beloved spas.

She founded the White Buffalo Scholarship on behalf of the Indspire, which provides financial support to First Nations, Inuit and Metis students in the Fine Arts, Culture and Language Retention and Health Care fields. She has been a member of the McMichael Moonlight Gala committee and has participated in the fund-raising efforts for the Children’s’ Wish Foundation, United Way and the Joy of Aging fundraiser for Mackenzie Health Foundation. She is also an active member of the Romanian community and supports its many cultural events.
