Maria-Leena Clarke

Maria-Leena became the Executive Director of the Canada Basketball Foundation in 2019 after spending 10 years as the Director of Marketing and Partnerships of Canada Basketball.

The University of Saskatchewan graduate began her marketing career at the Walt Disney Company’s European headquarters where her fluency in English, French and Spanish was beneficial during the launch of The Disney Channel in Europe. Next, she spent 10 years at Eurosport, the European sports broadcaster where she held various positions, including Head of External Relations and Strategic Partnerships.

Maria-Leena is particularly grateful for the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre where she receives treatment as a patient.
