A Place of Discovery, Hope, and Adventure
2022 GALA - THE CAUSE
The Magic Castle is the only program of its kind in an adult cancer centre in Canada, and provides childcare to approximately 1,000 children (12 years old and under) annually.
The hospital is currently undergoing major renovations with its Space Transformation Campaign which prioritizes the patient experience.
The Magic Castle
The Magic Castle is a free childcare support service for families of the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre. The unique service was started by a former patient and runs in partnership between the Department of Supportive Care at Princess Margaret and Canadian Mothercraft Society, a leader and expert in child specific resources.
The family support workers/early childhood educators work with each child who attends the program by meeting their individual needs, ensuring emotional well-being and taking cancer into consideration.
Children are encouraged to express their feelings and emotions through play and creativity, making the Magic Castle their own safe space.

Princess Margaret Cancer Centre is one of the top 5 cancer research centres in the world and a world leader in cancer research and patient care.
